If there was one word that could describe the talented DJ and Producer Jean Pierre, it is passion. Born and raised in the concrete jungle of New York City, this ‘Borough Beatman’ from Queens has done nothing but live and breathe records that transform his sets into riveting musical journeys.
Jean Pierre’s music has become globally recognized by its mature sound that is well beyond his years. Not only is he one of the most popular talents in the very competitive NYC club circuit, but he has also found praise in South America and Europe alike. He has graced the 1’s and 2’s while visiting international destinations like Spain, Germany, Ecuador and Colombia. Jean Pierre has also played for crowds numbering in the tens of thousands in Colombia’s infamous Black & White Festival, one of the biggest electronic music gatherings in the country.
Jean Pierre’s New York following is arguably one of the most loyal fan bases a musician could have. Due to their overwhelming support, Jean Pierre has made an unprecedented rise o royalty in the historically tight-knit NYC club community. While most artists have had to deal with club owner’s demand for numbers, Jean Pierre has always provided massive turnouts and in turn has become a regular at some of Output, Space Ibiza NY, Marquee NY, Cielo, Pacha NYC, The Electric Room, and Governors Island.
Jean Pierre’s transformation from diamond in the rough to respected producer began with his track ‘The Night’. In collaboration with DJ/producer Ortzy, the two worked relentlessly in a state-of-the-art studio based in Colombia and to their surprise, the track was signed by the reputable Younan Music. After receiving support from leading industry artists such as Boris, Chriss Vargas, Saeed Younan, Rob Mirage, Paolo Mojo and Sander Kleinenberg, Jean Pierre shifted focus to his productions and sound.
Since then, he has had many productions and remixes featured on labels such as Transmit Recordings, Deeperfect, New Violence Records, Dirtyclub Music, Defected, Nervous Records, SK Supreme, Infamous Recordings, Waveform Recordings, among others. He has received support from A-list talents such as; Loco Dice, Luciano, Marco Carola, Gary Beck, Steve Lawler, Victor Calderone, Boris, Yaya, Jamie Jones, Nicole Moudaber, and The Martinez Brothers. Jean Pierre's single "Who U Mad At?" was included in Loco Dice's 2013 Defected in the House mix compilation and received world wide praise.
Most recently, Jean Pierre has been hard at work on international collaborations, remixes, and upcoming original works. Spending countless hours in his Long Island City based studio, he has begun to amass a catalogue that is nothing short of impressive and he doesn’t plan on stopping anytime soon. Jean Pierre’s meteoric rise into the scene can only be attributed to the unbridled passion he possesses for his craft. His love for music moves him in every way imaginable because he lives, breathes and dreams music.
